To find out where you can recycle soft plastic in your local area, visit the Soft Plastic Recycling website.

Waste batteries in your general rubbish can ignite and cause fires - this is a hazard for the collection trucks. Fortunately, many hardware stores and Council recycling stations will accept your batteries for safe disposal. Please take your used batteries to one of the locations listed on the WasteMINZ website

Food and beverage cartons such as Tetra Pak®  can't go in your household recycling, but there is a growing number of locations where you can drop off these cartons for recycling. Find your nearest drop-off location on the website provided by the Food and Beverage Cartons Recycling Scheme.

Unbroken household lightbulbs can be recycled by dropping these off at a Mitre 10 store. Fluorescent lights and tubes contain mercury and are hazardous - ask your local Council how to safely dispose of these items.
